Morse Library is the oldest congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government Documents (GovDocs) in the State of Wisconsin. We have been stewarding government documents since 1888.
Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law (Title 44, United States Code). The United States Government is committed to providing information on its programs and services to the American public; one way in which it does this is through the Federal Depository Library Program.
The GovDocs collection is housed on first floor of Morse Library. At this time, our government documents collection is not cataloged. GovInfo is the official federal government portal to government information and houses online government documents.
Federal depository resources are available and usable for all library patrons regardless of library affiliation, disability, age, residency, or other patron status. Any member of the general public may use depository resources in all formats at a Federal depository library free of charge and without impediments. If you need assistance finding GovDocs, contact Mary Schiavone.
